Catholicism makes up most of Croatia's religious views. Approximately 90% of the population are Catholic but the Croatians are generally more easy going about religion and don't follow the religion to strictly.  They also have their own language which is Croation. The Croatian language is very similar to the the languages of other countries surrounding it such as Serbian. The two are pretty much the exact same language in fact  friend of mine from Croatian is giving Serbian lessons even though she never was taught the Serbian language.

Croatia is a parliamentary democracy and vote for their own leader just like the United States. They gained their independence from Yugoslavia in 1991 and wrote their own constitution in 1990. Even though they are a fresh democracy the country is running stably.

Croatia's Physical Geography

Croatia is a small country located in Europe. It borders the Adriatic Sea and the water is a very crisp light blue. It is a summer paradise with it's hot weather during the summer which makes it perfect to go to it's sandy beaches to relax. However, during the winter it does get pretty cold.  The landscape consists of mountains( the Dinarac Alps), hills, beaches and many islands. It is primarily covered in forests which extend to about 44% of Croatia's area.  It's beaches, mountains and forests make it a perfect place to go for people who like to do outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and swimming.
